Instructions to authors
Guides for submitting a new manuscript
Attention: Manuscripts which were previously published elsewhere or were submitted to other journals for publication are not acceptable for this journal.
The original manuscript with a high quality should be submitted to the editorial office of the journal (Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku city, Icarishahar, 3rd Maqomayev loop 8/4, tel: (+994 12) 497-16-32, (+994 12) 511-05-58, mob: (+994 50) 201-05-58) as a single hardcopy (the softcopy of the manuscript should also be subsmitted alongside in a CD or using other electronic devices). The author(s) should sign the manuscript and include the date for submission.
The authors should fill a form related to the subsmission of the manuscript to the editorial office. The letter and the author form samples can either be downloaded from the journal website (iqtisadiarasdirmalar.com) or collected from the editorial office.
Author rights
Author rights are protected in the articles published in this journaland all the publication rights of these articles exclusively belong to the Journal of Economic Research. The articles published in this journal can be reproduced in other journals upon the written permission of the editorial office. The articles of this journal can be cited by clearly mentioning the source.
The structure and the size of the manuscript
The manuscript should be contructed according to the following order and with a 1-line spacing between each section: UOT, the title of the manuscript, the names and surnames of the authors, the affiliation of each author, the email addresses of the authors, abstract, keywords, introduction, material, results, references. The manuscript size should not be less than 3 A4 sized pages excluding the tables.
Review and publication of the manuscript
The manuscript is passed to reviewers for confidential revision. The reviewers decide whether the manuscript should or should not be published in this journal. The review and confirmation process takes place in 3 months. Based on the results of the revision process, the manuscripts are published in ordered principle.
The rules to construct a manuscript
The manuscript should be written in Microsoft Office Word in A4 format, with Times New Roman12 font size (black colour), 1-line spacing, and 2cm spacing from each side of the page.
The title of the manuscript should be written with capital letters while the heading of the sub-sections should only start with a capital letter and they should be in numbered order. Both title and the headings should be in bold format. There should be 1-line space before and after the title, headings, tables and figures. Page numbers are included at the top right corner of each page.
Every table and figure should have its own name; the name of table is included on top right corner of the table while the name of the figure is in the bottom left corner of each figure. Tables and and figures should have respective Arabic numbers coming after the words Table and Figure (e.g. Figure 1, Table 2). The titles of the tables and figures should be in bold format starting with capital letters. The column names of the tables should be short and the units are provided in the brackets.
The figures should be in electronic jpg, tif file format, in CMYK color regime, not less than 300 dpi in size, the graphic illustrations should be submitted in one of the following programs: Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw and Power Point.
The tables and figures should repeat themselves and the units should be in SI. If the manuscript contains only one table and only one figure, they should be numbered according to their order and the words Table and Figure should not be included.
The values and explanations of the symbols used in the equations included in the manuscript are given below the equations. The equation should be numbered in the right side and the number should be in brackets. Every symbol value and explanation should be provided in a new separate line and the first line of these explanations should follow the word Here. The equations are separated from the text with empty line spacings.There should be 1-2-line spacing above and below each equation.
The words in the text of the manuscript should be given in long format except the well-known acronyms (USA, UN etc.).
The text should include several citations to the related publications.All the cited articles are given at the References section following the alphabetic or text order. The order numbers are provided inside square brackets.
The reference is formatted according to the following order: The surname(s) of the author(s), the first letter(s) of the Author(s) name(s), the title of the source, publishing authority (if it is an artice–the name of the journal, if it is conference paper–the title of the conference, if it is a book–the name and the city of the publisher), volumeandpage number. The sources not used in the text should not be in the References section.
Conclusion
The conclusion should be written in same context in every language of the journal with not more than 200 words and should express the essence of the article. Its text should be carefully edited from scientific and grammatical points of view and the text should include a short summary of the purpose, approach, findings, research limitations, practical implications and originality.
The following information should be included in the conclusion section in the given order: The surname(s), name(s) and fathers name(s) of the author(s), scientific degree of the author(s), the affiliation(s) of the author(s), position(s) of the author(s), e-mail(s) of the author(s) and the title of the article.
Index and keywords
The authors should show the scientific direction of the article based on the UOT indexandJEL Codes. UOT index should be at the top left corner before the title of the article and the JEL code is given after the keywords.
At least five keywords and expressions should be provided at the end of the conclusion written in every language.
